Workshop:

Digital Memories

CARMAH, Institut für Europäische Ethnologie, Møhrenstraße 40/41, 10117 Berlin

The workshop was a collaboration between CARMAH (Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin) and the Ludwig-Uhland-Institut für Empirische Kulturwissenschaft der Universität Tübingen.

Workshop „Digital Memories“: On February 16th (in room 408 of the IfEE, 2 pm – 4 pm) a group of MA students from the University of Tübingen will visit CARMAH and meet with MA students from  Christoph Bareither’s course „Digital Memories“ at the IfEE to discuss memory cultures in relation to digital media. First, the students from Tübingen will introduce their own research on „Gedenkstätten“ and media use, which they also documented on their blog: https://doingselfieblog.wordpress.com/ The discussion is followed by inputs from the Berlin students on various analytical concepts as well as exemplary research fields we encountered during our seminar. The main language of the workshop will be German. In case you are interested, you are more than welcome to join the group, listen in and participate in the discussions.
