Colloquium Provenance Research:

Artistic Provenance Research on a 'Gall Skull'

6 am

The event is a roundtable discussing different approaches to provenance research. The speakers will present their respective perspectives on a “Gall’s skull” from the Berlin Anatomy collection, which was examined as part of the artistic project ‘Who is ID8470?’ They ask what we can know, whether we need to know in this case, and why these Human Remains are not shown at the Humboldt Forum.

Speakers:
Tal Adler, artist at CARMAH, Berlin
Marion Hulverscheidt, Dr. med., visiting scientist at CARMAH, lecturer at the Chair of Modern and Contemporary History, Prof. Dr. Hubertus Büschel, University of Kassel
Andreas Winkelmann, Prof. Dr. med., Institute for Anatomy, Brandenburg Medical School, Neuruppin

The event will take place as a videoconference via the software Webex. Participation is free of charge, but only possible after registration until February 20, 2022.
